Michael G. Biffar, 46, of Plymouth, passed away on January 30. Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patsy" Biffar; his beloved son, Michael; and his parents, Marlene and Tom Biffar. Born in El Salvador, Michael grew up in Duxbury, where he graduated from Duxbury High School in 1998. He earned his bachelor's degree
from Curry College and went on to receive both a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Bridgewater State University.
Michael dedicated his professional life to helping others. As a qualified clinical social worker, he served a wide range of clients, including youth, incarcerated men, and geriatric men and women. In addition to his clinical work, he took great
pride in mentoring the next generation of social workers as a supervisor for pre-licensed clinicians. Outside of work, Michael embraced life's simple joys. He was an avid New England Patriots fan, loved charcoal grilling, and was known for making a truly delicious steak. He enjoyed beach days filled with cornhole and bocce, soaking up time with family and friends.
Above all, Michael cherished being a father. He especially loved spending time with his son throwing a football, teaching him to play chess, and playing with their dog, Bones. Those moments defined him and brought him his greatest happiness. Michael will be remembered for his compassion, dedication to others, and deep love for his son.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on March 7, 2026 at Faith Community Church in Plymouth, MA.
