Michael Mario Damico, 60, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Midlothian, Illinois surrounded by family. Born on December 11, 1964, in Berwyn, Illinois, Michael had an unmistakable zest for living.

Michael was known for his friendly nature and his ability to turn any situation into a celebration. Whether sharing a laugh over a meal or casting a line into the water on a quiet morning, he brought energy and enthusiasm to everything he did. He was the life of the party—someone who appreciated good music and even better company.

A passionate fisherman, Michael found peace and joy in the stillness of nature. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that reflected his patience and appreciation for the simple pleasures. He also had a deep appreciation for food—not only did he enjoy trying new recipes at home, but he also loved discovering new eateries during his work travels. His adventurous palate and culinary curiosity were just another way he connected with people and places.

Professionally, Michael was a hard worker who took immense pride in his career. He approached every task with diligence and integrity. That same sense of responsibility extended to his home life; he cared deeply about maintaining his home as a place of comfort and pride.

Michael's greatest joy came from his family. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Megan Damico-Tepper and her husband Christopher Tepper; Mallory Damico; and Michael Damico. His legacy continues through his cherished granddaughters, Leila Nelson and Lola Nelson. He is also survived by his mother, Gwen Damico; siblings Tony Damico, Lisa Tertel, and Steve Damico.

He now joins in rest his father Anthony Damico; brother Nicholas Damico; and Uncle Jimmy Damico.

Michael's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him—his laughter at gatherings, his stories shared over meals, and his fun-hearted nature. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Memorial gathering date to be announced by family in weeks to come.
