Michael "Pickle" Douglas, 60, passed away on December 31, 2025, in Newport Richey, Florida. Born on February 24, 1965, in Ventura, California, Michael lived a life marked by his deep love for his family and an enduring passion for sports. Michael served as a United States Postal worker. His daily route was more than just a job—it was a chance to connect with the community he cared about. He built many friendships along the way and enjoyed the relationships he formed.

He was a devoted father to Jacob (Jake) Douglas, Jessica Castillo and son-in-law Marck Castillo. However, Michael's greatest joy came from being "Papa Pickle" to his beloved grandchildren: Sophia Cruz (8), Jacob (Junior) Douglas (7), and Gabriella Castillo (3). His grandchildren brought him immense pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Michael's love of sports was well known—he was an enthusiastic fan of baseball, basketball, football; cheering especially hard for his favorite team: the Philadelphia Eagles. Whether cheering from the stands or from his living room, he brought energy and heart to every game day.

Outside of sports, Michael found joy in simple pleasures: enjoying a warm meal, driving his Audi with pride, spending quality time with family, and playing with his dogs Addie and Tiki. He also held dear the memory of his dachshund Duke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Lawton Douglas and Juanita Douglas, who he loved dearly and spoke of often. The legacy they left behind lives on through Michael's children and grandchildren.

Michael "Pickle" Douglas will be remembered for the laughter he shared with those around him and the unwavering love he had for his family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
