Michael Dean Dyke, aged 70, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on February 1, 2026. Born on May 27, 1955.
Michael served honorably in the Navy, where he completed BUDS training. After his military service, he pursued a career in HVAC, later retiring from Navistar. During his retirement, he continued to work as a driver for DRG, demonstrating his enduring work ethic.
A graduate of Martinsville High School and Ivy Tech, Michael was not only committed to his education but also to his community. He was an active member of Light of Life Lutheran Church in Greenwood, Indiana, where he found spiritual solace and fellowship.
An avid outdoorsman, Michael relished his time hunting, fishing, golfing, and camping with family and friends. These activities reflected his love for nature and adventure, traits that endeared him to many.
Michael is survived by his wife, Cindy; children, Chris (Lauren), Katelyn, and Nikole (Christopher); along with cherished grandsons, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Dyke, and his sister, Paula Griffin-Lowe.
A service to honor Michael’s life will be held at Light of Life Lutheran Church in Greenwood, Indiana on February 28 at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Light of Life Lutheran Church, reflecting Michael's commitment to his faith community. Michael's legacy of strength, independence, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
