Michael Gerbino

Michael Peter Gerbino, lovingly known as "Uncle Mikey," passed away on March 22, 2026, in North Hampton, New Hampshire, at the age of 76. Born on August 15, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, Michael brought joy and laughter to all who knew him throughout his remarkable life.

Michael was the son of Peter and Grace Gerbino, who predeceased him. He grew up in Brooklyn and carried with him a vibrant personality that left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered. A proud veteran, Michael served as a medic in Korea with the United States Air Force and later received an honorary discharge from the Navy. His dedication to service reflected his deep sense of duty and care for others.

Known for his quick wit and boundless humor, Michael was truly the life of every gathering. Whether he was telling jokes—ranging from clean quips to those best left unrepeated—or reciting his self-written hysterical poems at family holiday parties, he had an unmatched ability to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. His creativity and comedic talent became cherished traditions within his family.

Michael had a deep love for sports and movies and could often be found enjoying both with enthusiasm. Beyond his humor and hobbies, he had a special place in his heart for his family. He treasured the memory of his mother, especially her famous cooking, which brought him so much joy and comfort. He was very close with his brother Joe, and they enjoyed their time together with family. He cherished his nieces and nephews as well as their children, creating countless memories filled with love and laughter. His devotion to his family was evident in every interaction, leaving a legacy of warmth and affection that will be treasured forever.
Michael is survived by his brother Joseph Gerbino of North Hampton, New Hampshire; his sister Isabella Kula of Chester, New York; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will deeply miss their beloved "Uncle Mikey."

Michael's presence brought light into the lives of all who knew him. His humor, kindness, and love for life will remain etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
