Michael Vann Goodwin

On October 6, 2025 in Fort Smith, AR, at the age of 79, Michael V. Goodwin, a.k.a Zeke, a.k.a. Ole' Stone Hippie, transcended this world for greener gardens, filled with peace, laughter and beautiful goddesses.

Michael served in the U.S. Army,

Vietnam, and also the Army Reserves. He was also a stone mason, and a minister of the Universal Life Church.

Michael's dead pan humor, wit and story telling was world class and second to none! He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and the company of his loved ones. He is sorely missed!

Michael is survived by his three children, Michael Goodwin II, Honey Goodwin, William Goodwin, his brothers, Larry and Don Goodwin, five grandchildren, and many friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Norfleet Goodwin, his mother, Mary Francis Kennedy Goodwin, and brothers Jim, Bobby, Gary, John and Dave Goodwin.

Public services for the celebration of Michael's life and burial of his ashes, will be held on Monday, December 29th, 2025 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m.
