Michael William Gregor, born in Chicago on March 5th, 1966, passed away peacefully on February 3rd, 2026.
Michael grew up in Chicago with his parents William and Carol Gregor, both deceased. Michael was the middle of five siblings. His two older sisters Lynette Graf, Laureen Pastorello, his younger brother Kevin Gregor, deceased, and sister Kimberly Gregor. As a child, he was often spending time with his father or hanging out with his school friends. He loved working on cars with his father and learning how to work with his hands.
Michael joined the United States Air Force in 1987. He always talked about how much he learned and how thankful he was to stay in the states while he was enlisted. Whenever he was asked what his favorite part of the Air Force was he always responded with, "the food". He was honorably discharged in 1990.
After being discharged he moved to Wisconsin where he met new friends and reconnected with family. He continued working on cars and bought a 1968 Coronet convertible. That car became his passion project and he worked on it until his health ultimately failed. In 2001, he and AnnMarie Legutki became parents to Ashley Gregor. After becoming a dad he became quite the work-aholic, working long hours to provide for his small family. In his free time he loved trying new places to eat and talking to strangers like they were long lost friends.
When Michael's health started to decline he made the tough decision to move to Illinois with his longtime girlfriend, Kim Parker. They spent every day together and he continued to try new restaurants with her that were not available to him in Wisconsin. He would spend his days at her house lounging in a hammock or cuddling with her cats. He would visit his house in Wisconsin almost every weekend just to mow the lawn and spend time with his daughter.
His life was full of hard work and people who appreciated him and he will be sorely missed.
There will be a celebration of life to be had at the Evergreen Golf Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, March 14th at 1p.m.
