Michael Joseph Higgins III

Michael J. Higgins III passed away January 19th surrounded by love. He was the beloved son of Michael J. Higgins Jr. and Nancy Higgins, father to Melissa and Shawn, and a proud grandfather. Michael was a brother to Mary, Meaghan, and Elizabeth, and was preceded in death by his brother Brian. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews who will remember his presence, humor, and heart.

Michael was a painter by trade and an artist by spirit. He saw the world with depth and nuance, always thinking about the deeper meaning behind all things. His creativity extended beyond his work and into the way he connected with others. His immersion into spiritual texts helped shape his focus on finding God in all things. He dedicated much of his life to sharing the journey of recovery, offering compassion, understanding, and hope drawn from his lived experience. His impact will live on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.

All are welcome to attend a memorial in honor of Mike on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 6pm-9pm at 1816 S. 21st Street, Phila PA 19146. A private burial will be held Saturday March 21, 2026.
