Michael Douglas Ihli, age 74 of Maple Grove, Minnesota, passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, October 16th, 2025.
Michael was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on September 28,1951. After college, Michael moved to Los Angeles, where he started working for Pacific Bell and met his wife Susan. They started their family in Glendale, California, where they welcomed their two sons Zachary and Matthew. Shortly after, Mike and Sue decided to move back to Minnesota to be closer with family. Though he worked a lot, Mike made family his priority. He always attended Zach and Matt's several games, meets, and performances. He was the definition of a family man and will be greatly missed.
Mike was a dedicated husband of 42 years, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife Susan of Maple Grove, Minnesota, his sons Zachary of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Matthew (Brenna) of Bloomington, Minnesota, his siblings Virginia (John) Gammell of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, Richard (Nancy) Ihli of Rogers, Minnesota, and Todd (Mary) Ihli of Sartell, Minnesota, and so many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Margaret Ihli, his brother Butch Ihli, and his sisters Shirley Staneart, Dianne Voit, Karen Ihli, and Patricia Ihli.
A celebration of life will be held at Maple Grove Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 1st. The visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
