Michael James Lapinski

Michael James Lapinski was born on June 2nd, 1952, raised by his grandparents in Ferndale Michigan. Passed away on April 10th, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loving family in the care of Hospice of Michigan.

In his life he was lucky enough to find love multiple times. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Desimone and shortly after they moved to California and quickly started raising their 3 children Michelle, Ryan and Dylan. The weekend beach trips with the kids will always be some of the most cherished memories. After several years of marriage Michael and Mary went their separate ways but remained loving friends for their entire lives.

Years later Micheal returned to Ferndale and found love again with Janet. Their marriage brought forth their amazing son Matthew and Janet's two sons from a previous marriage, Nick and Allen, that Micheal loved like his own. Michael tragically lost Janet to cancer after only a few loving years together.

Years later Michael was lucky enough to meet his loving wife, Sandra. Sandra brought life back into Micheal with fun drives up the Pacific coastline and vacations to Hawaii. Sandra also brought her wonderful daughter Morgan into the family who Micheal quickly grew close with and loved her like his own daughter.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Sandra, children/stepchildren Michelle, Ryan, Dylan, Matt, Nick, Allen, and Morgan, and five grandchildren Alyssa, Jacob, Nathan, Lily, Naomi.

Micheal was a hard-working man his entire life, dealing with the struggles of life, but always ensured he was there for his kids in times of need. He was the most caring of men and had the biggest heart. We all know that our father is in a much better place now. He was in so much pain and incredibly tired. He will be missed and loved by all of us.
