Michael Frederick Finnigan, age 76, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on January 11, 2026, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk.
Born on January 14, 1949, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moving shortly thereafter to Norfolk, where he built a life surrounded by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Finnigan and Jeanette W. Finnigan, and his younger brother, James "Oddy" Finnigan.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of over 37 years, Sheena Finnigan; his beloved daughter, Ashley Finnigan of Virginia Beach, VA; and his beloved grandchildren, Kyshaun, Khalise, Aria, and Raina, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and crabbing—pursuits that brought him peace and happiness and often allowed him to share memorable moments with those closest to him.
He was known for his love of life and, above all, his love for family and friends. Mike had a warm spirit and a genuine way of connecting with people, leaving lasting impressions on everyone he met. He was beloved by both family and friends and will be greatly missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
