Michael Joseph Miller, affectionately known as Mike, passed away on March 30th, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 79. Born on November 25th, 1965 in Independence,
Kansas. Mike lived a life marked by dedication to family, his career, and his community.

Mike graduated from Wichita West High School in 1965, where he excelled in athletics and was later inducted into the West High Sports Hall of Fame. It was also at West High that he met and married his high school sweetheart Gerre Little. Their union was the beginning of a family that would grow to include children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who brought immense joy to Mike's life.

A successful career in advertising followed for Mike. He retired as an executive from McCormick & Armstrong, where he was highly regarded for his leadership and contribution to the industry. Recognized by his peers as one of the best in his field. Mike set a standard of excellence that earned him numerous accolades throughout his professional journey.

Mike's love of sports extended beyond his own achievements. He was an active member of the West High Alumni Boosters Club and dedicated himself to coaching various teams over the years. His passion for high school, college, and professional sports was evident not only in his knowledge but also in his generosity. Mike made significant contributions to support young athletes and athletic programs, embodying his belief in the power of sports to shape lives.

Family was at the heart of Mike's world. He is survived by his children: Patrick Miller (wife Lisa) Steve Miller (wife Caroline), Meghan Meyer, Katy Epperson (husband David). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tyler Grimes (wife Amanda), Maci James (Grimes), Nathan Miller, Nicklaus Miller, Joseph Meyer,(Little) David Epperson, Kenslee Roseberry (husband Scott), Sierra Epperson, Holly Epperson, Chevy Epperson, Jacob Meyer, Bailey (husband John Gilbertson),Avery (husband Dalton Hess),Crosby Woods.

Great grandchildren: Gannon and Graham Grimes, Waylon James, Cooper Lee Scott Roseberry, Jovie & Presley Gilbertson, Cruz, Roman, & Cory Joseph Hess. Holly is expecting a new baby in October, 2026

Brothers: Jake Miller (wife Martha), Tommy Miller, and Steve Miller (wife Rosemary); Clint Miller (wife Kameron)) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Too many to count.

Step-children Christina Parker,(her children Marshall and Macayla,grandson Roy Johnson Jr.) Mike Chapple(wife Amanda), Drue Bradley, Aiden Bradley, Owen Brown (wife Mackenzie), Raylan Chapple, Oakley Chapple, Oliver Chapple, Todd Chapple (wife Becky) Meredith Chapple, Brett Chapple, Blake Chapple (wife Isa), Levi Chapple, Darian Gonzales(son Ayden), Alexis Gonzales (son Armelo).

Mike was proceeded in death by his daughter Shannon Miller (Grimes),sister Cathy Wymer, wives Gerre Chester (Little), and Julie Chapple; step-granddaughter Elizabeth Meyer; grandson-in-law Jake James.

Known for his old school values and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about, Mike was a man of integrity who could always be counted on. His generosity knew no bounds- he gave freely of his time and resources to help others. Though often a man of few words, he never hesitated to share his opinions or speak from the heart. With a sharp sense of humor and an infectious personality that endeared him to many. Mike was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike's impact extended far beyond his immediate circle. His countless friends admired him for his honesty and dependability. He had a unique ability to connect with people- whether through a firm handshake, or a heartfelt hug- and left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

In addition to being a devoted family man and friend, Mike found joy in life's simple pleasure. Whether cheering on a favorite team or sharing a laugh with loved ones, he embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth.

Mike's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering support for others will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.

May Michael Joseph Miller rest in peace as those who loved him cherish the memories they shared together.

A funeral mass will be held on May 8th, 2026 at `10 a.m at St. Joseph Catholic Church 132 S Millwood Ave. Wichita, Kansas. There will be a dinner following the service at the Midian Shrine Temple. 130 N. Topeka Ave. Wichita, Kansas 67202.
And a Celebration of Life at 3pm at Caesar's Barroom located at 4331 W. Central Ave. Wichita, Kansas 67212
