It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Michael Anthony Mirabella, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Michael was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Anthony and Frances Mirabella. He graduated from Boardman High School, where he developed a lifelong love of football. He proudly served his country for six years in the United States Air Force, carrying that spirit of dedication and service throughout his life.
Michael and his family spent 20 wonderful years in Memphis, Tennessee, building a life centered on faith, family, and community. In 2021, he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida. He dedicated 18 years of his career to Adesa Auto Auction, where he served as Operations Manager and was respected for his strong work ethic and leadership.
Beyond his professional life, Michael's greatest joy was his family. He faithfully served as chauffeur, coach, and biggest fan to his sons, Matthew and Merrick, rarely missing a basketball, baseball, or soccer game. He treasured every moment spent cheering them on.
For the past 24 years, Michael was a proud Third Degree Knight of Columbus at St. Paul's Catholic Church. A strong man of faith, he was always ready to lend a helping hand and offer steady support to those around him.
Michael loved the beach, bike riding, traveling, football, and time spent with family and friends. He took particular pride in detailing his cars — a hobby he truly enjoyed and perfected.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Frances Mirabella; his sister, Rita Bucceri; and his son, Michael Joseph.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn; his sons Brian Berardi (Patty), Matthew Mirabella (Whitney), and Merrick Mirabella (Crystal); and his eight cherished grandchildren: Nick, Vinnie, Brooks, Landon, River, Merrick, Scarlett, and Bennett.
Michael's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his God-given life at a Mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach (523 Pablo Ave., Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250 ) on Saturday, March 14, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in his memory.
