Send Flowers Plant A Tree

Michael Raul Gonzales, 72, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Born on March 29, 1953, in Greeley, Colorado, Mike lived a life marked by service, craftsmanship, and quiet strength.

Mike proudly served his country as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Stationed in Indochina at an Air Force base, he played a vital role in protecting ammunition supplies and driving supply trucks that transported munitions to aircraft. His dedication and courage during this time reflected his steadfast character and sense of duty.

After his military service, Mike returned home to Colorado where he built a life rooted in resilience and generosity. Known for his no-nonsense attitude toward life, he was also deeply compassionate—always ready to lend a hand when someone was in need. His great sense of humor brought lightness to those around him and left lasting impressions on all who knew him.

A man of many interests, Mike had a deep appreciation for music of all kinds. He also found joy and peace in crafting Indian flutes from wood—a hobby that combined his love for music with his skillful hands and creative spirit.

Mike is survived by his beloved spouse, five children, fourteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the lives he touched with his kindness and strength. As Mike once said, "One must learn to walk on rice paper softly"—a reflection of the thoughtful way he moved through the world.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on February 10, 2026 at Ft Logan National Cemetery 4400 W Kenyon Ave
