Michael Steven "Trader" Smith, 68
Michael Steven Smith, lovingly known as "Trader," passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 68. Formerly of Toledo, Ohio, Mike moved to Florida in 2021 with his wife, Beth—a dream they both shared and were blessed to enjoy together.
Mike devoted more than 40 years to his career as an automotive technician, a profession that reflected his skill, dedication, and pride in his work. Beyond the shop, he was an avid Harley rider who cherished the freedom of the open road and the stories that came with every mile.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Elizabeth ("Beth"), his daughters Erika and Ashley (Brett), his parents Thomas and Nancy, his siblings Mark, Jeff, Kim, Kellie, Wayne, Dennis, and Tammie, and his six treasured grandsons, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Mike will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of storytelling, and the way he could brighten any room with a joke or a tale. His warmth, humor, and presence touched all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Michael.
