Michael "Mike" Trono, formerly from Winooski, VT and a long time resident of Colchester, VT passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 80 leaving behind a lifetime of love, service and devotion to family.
A proud Gulf War Veteran, Mike served his country with honor. While he rarely sought recognition, he carried deep pride in his service.
For 58 years, he shared a wonderful marriage with his beautiful wife Joyce. Their love story began in high school and was one of commitment, laughter and mutual respect- a true example to everyone who knew them.
Family was everything to Mike. He found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved whether through family dinners, riding motorcycles, playing golf or helping his family with various projects. His presence was steady and reassuring and his love was felt by all who knew him.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, strength, humor and generosity and he leaves behind a legacy that will never fade.
Mike is survived by his wife Joyce Trono; his two sons and their spouses Mike (Lauren) of Colchester, VT and Chris (Ellie) of Fairfax, VT; his daughter and her spouse Katie Mobbs (Larry) of Fairfax, VT; and his precious grandchildren Ava Trono of Colchester, VT, Gianna Poland (Deagan) of Colchester, VT, Dylan Trono of Fairfax, VT and Lyla Mobbs of Fairfax, VT.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
