Michael J. Van Wormer, 40, of Acton, Massachusetts, formerly of Townsend, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly. He was born on July 5, 1985 in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Michael was a 2003 graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School. He completed his training at the Peterson School and went on to become a licensed electrician, eventually owning and operating his own successful electrical company.
Michael leaves behind his beloved sons, Marcus (13) and Jackson (8), of Pepperell. He is also survived by his father, Charles Van Wormer and his wife Deborah Turunjian of Mead, Colorado; his mother, Susan Tassinari and her partner William Beal of Rutland, Massachusetts; his brother, Stephen Van Wormer and his wife Kayla, along with his goddaughter and niece Aubrey Van Wormer and nephew Weston Van Wormer, all of Rutland, Massachusetts. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the Boston Celtics. He proudly shared this passion with his sons, who have become Celtics fans themselves. He loved watching his son Marcus play lacrosse and equally cherished the time he spent building LEGO creations with his son Jackson.
Michael will always be remembered as a hardworking man, a good friend and father.
