Michele D Ratliff

Michele Denise Dishmon Harper Ratliff transitioned peacefully at Methodist Northlake on January 13, 2026. She was born to Joseph Dishmon II and Alberta Mack Dishmon in Gary, Indiana. Michele was a devoted member of St. Timothy Community Church. She graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, Indiana and Everest College in Merrillville, Indiana. For the last several years, she was employed by Home Health Care Agency in Gary, Indiana. Michele leaves a loving family to carry on her legacy: children, Rev. Raymond David Harper II and Joseph Colbert Harper; siblings, Mary Jo Inimgba, Joseph Dishmon III, and Byron Dishmon. She was the proud G-Ma of grandchildren: Elliott, Nechelle, Joseph Jr., Charnea, Jaylen, Darnell, Albert, Heaven, Michele, Major, Curtis, Omari, Ashanti; great grandchildren: Damyrah, Nubia, Jakari, Ashanti Jr., Savayah, Jomaria, and Malachi; goddaughter, Nekesha; godson, Cameron McCullough; Bonus Daughter, Christine; numerous cousins, church family, and numerous friends who loved her dearly. A Loving Memorial Tribute will be held at St. Timothy Community Church on Saturday, January 24, 2026, Family Hour- 10:00-11:00 and service at 11:00 a.m. Please keep the Dishmon- Ratliff Family in your prayers.
