Michelle Ann Martin 57 years old 12/9/1968 - 1/15/2026
Michelle Ann Martin passed away on January 15th, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, who will forever be changed by her absence.
Michelle was a wife, mother, Nonna, aunt, niece, friend, sister, nurse and so much more.
Michelle married Louis Martin on April 25th, 1992. They met in 1987, when they were teenagers and fell in love. Louis said, "she was the most beautiful woman" he had ever seen.
Lou and Michelle had their first child, Jessica, in January of 1997, followed by Claire in 1999, and Mia in 2005.
Her husband and three girls were the most important things in her life. When her grandchildren (Harrison, Magnolia, and Wesley) came along, they were a joyous addition to her life.
Michelle was the heart of her family and the closeness they share is a direct reflection of the love she continuously poured into them. Michelle loved her family and friends fiercely, and she also serviced others with the same care, compassion and selflessness.
Michelle was a nurse for over thirty years, she seemed to find her calling, working with children with physical disabilities at Lincoln Developmental Center. This work reflected who she was at her core - patient, kind, protective and endlessly compassionate.
Michelle enjoyed camping in the summers with her family and friends at Nature's Chain of Lake Campground where they had started camping in the summer. She loved going on girls trips with her daughters, and was looking forward to traveling with her husband.
Michelle's early life was marked with hardship and a challenging upbringing Despite this, Michelle chose love, connection, and family above all else. What she wasn't afforded early in life, she built with intention - becoming the heart and anchor of a family defined by closeness, care and enduring love.
Michelle was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in June of 2025. Not even for a moment did Michelle let this define her. She fought for 6 months, surrounded by those who loved her, and never stopped being a loving or caring mother, wife, nonna, friend- and mostly, never stopped fighting. Even though her fight was cut short, Michelle would want us to continue to raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer.
To be loved by Michelle was a gift that is indescribable, one that will be felt long after her passing by her family, friends and many others.
Michelle is survived by her husband Louis, three loving daughters Jessica, Claire, and Mia, three loving grandchildren Harrison, Magnolia, and Wesley, and so many other friends and family that she loved dearly.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 2pm - 5pm.
