Milton Garner Decker Jr, "Butch" age 85, passed away December 2, 2025 at the VA Hospital in New Orleans, LA.
He was born July 23, 1940 in Catskill, NY, the son of the late Milton and Pearl Mae Decker. Butch graduated high school in 1959 from Cairo Central High School. He served his country in the United States Navy for 3 years during the Vietnam War. He was a New York State Corrections Officer, (retired). He then spent 30 years collecting and selling antiques at the River Road Flea Market in Jefferson, LA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Decker, three sisters; Ruth Mary, Jean, and Shirley.
He is survived by three sons, Milton Decker, III (Noel), Raymond Decker (Suzanne), and Kevin Decker (Rebecca). He is also survived by 13 grandsons, 12 great-grandchildren, and companion Alice Roy as well as many family and friends who will sadly miss him.
A memorial service celebrating Butch's exceptional life will be held Jan 3, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Rosewood Park Cemetery, in Longview, TX. We invite all who knew and loved Butch to join us in honoring his memory.
