Mindy Joy Helfstein

Mindy Joy Helfstein sadly passed away from Covid on January 20, 2021. She is survived by her husband Jerrold Helfstein and daughters Jaclyn and Samantha. She is predeceased by her Mother Anita Gertler, and Father Donald Gertler. Mindy was loving, kind, caring, compassionate, goofy, and always had a smile on her face. She loved spending time with her family, dogs and friends. Although she suffered for many years with Multiple Sclerosis she always had the kindest and spunkiest spirit. She was outgoing, always making people laugh, and was extremely giving. She would always give you the last of what she had even if it meant she'd go without. And most importantly gave the best and biggest hugs.

Although her health deteriorated over time, she never gave up hope and always had the best attitude and spread her love and joy wherever she went. She is always greatly missed especially by her youngest daughter Jaclyn who was her best friend. Mindy had a love of being social, spending time with her beloved dogs. Her interests included reading, watching movies, listening to live music, singing as she had a fantastic voice and grew up playing the guitar, and playing board games. Especially scrabble as she was second to none with her spelling skills and extensive vocabulary!

In her early days of her career she was a paralegal as she planned to become a lawyer. However, when she had her first child Samantha she decided to dedicate her life to be a wonderful stay at home
