Minister . Argusta Johnson

Minister Argusta "Doc" Johnson Sr. was born on January 22, 1934, in Rossville, TN to Robert and Gladys Johnson. Doc was one of thirteen children. He had several forms of employment at a local department store and a hospital until he began his over 30-year career in the steel mills. He worked for U.S. Steel as well as Inland Steel where he would eventually retire.
He became a minister at Williams' Chapel Church of God in Christ and raised all twelve children within the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, his parents, all of his siblings, except one, his son William, and his grandson Jeremiah. He leaves behind his youngest sister, Betty, his children Carla (David), Paula, Pamela (Robert), Phillip, Sherry, Anthony, Argusta Jr. (Christi), Kimberly (Keith), Aaron (Sara), Rachel, and Erica; grandchildren Bradford, Craig, Paula, Tovia, Delshawn, Charity, Cameron, Kevin, Joana, Marcus, Emmanuel, Hannah, Meshach, Monique, Elijah, Kynedy, Grace and Isaac; also 19 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
