Morley Lawrence Ireland Jr.

Morley (Butch) Ireland Jr., 81 passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Morley served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war. Mr. Ireland graduated from Roseville High in 1961 and was hired as a pipe man on 10/30/1968 with the Roseville Fire Department and was chief from 1985-1994 ending a 26 year career. He was a member of the Goodfellows in Roseville,T he Metropolitan club, Macomb County National Fire Chief Association where he held the position of president, and the Moose Lodge. He was a man of few words but loved his family and loved socializing with his friends, fishing, watching football and NASCAR. Morley is survived by his children, Dawn Gildea, Kim(Andy) Willis. Siblings Charles W.(Bill)(Cathy) Ireland, Nancy(Keith) Oswald, Marilyn(Burt) Sills, Timothy(Gloria) Ireland, Richard(Pamela) Ireland. Brother and sister in law Mike(Elaine) Kroth. 6 grandchildren Melissa, Kandis, Lawrence, Nicholas, Trevor, and Bailey. 8 great-grandchildren Alexandra, Ricky, Lucy, Peyton, Rebekah, Brady, Paisley, and Paxtyn. Many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ireland was pre-deceased by his wife, Madelyn Kroth Ireland, his daughter, Kelly Jo Keller, his parents, Morley Lawrence Ireland Sr. and Betty Jo (Montgomery)Ireland, his grand-parents, Charles and Ada Ireland, Everett and Nancy Montgomery, his brother in law, Charles Kroth, and nephew Christopher Ireland.

A service will be held late January in Michigan and early February in Florida.
