Muriel Baker

Muriel Baker, 103, of Gloucester, Virginia, died Sunday, March 22, 2026.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 28, 1923, to Muriel Irene Sutherland and Adolphus William Wier.

She lived in states across the USA, from Michigan and Ohio to California and Florida and finally Virginia. She was a registered nurse in hospitals, doctors' offices, and public health departments, ending her career in Winter Haven, Florida.

She is survived by one son, David W. Ball of Beaufort, SC, one grandson, Randall D. Ball of Doha, Qatar, and one granddaughter, Rebekah M. Doggett of Yorktown, Virginia, and four great-grandchildren.

She died in Gloucester, Virginia, on March 22, 2026.
