Muriel Jeanne Davis (née Haney), 81, of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, passed away on February 12, 2026. Born on October 31, 1944, in Hennepin, Minnesota, Muriel lived a life filled with love, compassion, and devotion to her family and the world around her.
Muriel was the beloved wife of Gary Davis and the cherished mother of her sons Troy (Ann) and Bradley (Deanna). She was a proud grandmother to Paige and Erica, with whom she shared countless special moments. Muriel is also survived by her siblings Jimmie, Jeffrey, Lorraine, April, and stepsister Janis. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, father Ralph, mother Elaine, stepfather George, and brother Clifford.
Muriel will be remembered for her generous heart, her deep love for her family, and her compassion for all living creatures. A devoted animal lover, she was known for taking care of strays, always making sure they were fed and cared for. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially watching old reruns that brought back fond memories of earlier times. She also enjoyed thrifting and garage saling, where she created cherished memories alongside her granddaughters.
Muriel treasured time spent at home, where she found comfort in the peace and quiet moments where she could reflect and enjoy life and its beauty at her own pace. She had a gift for storytelling, often sharing memories of her life and preserving family history so that her granddaughters and future generations would never forget where they came from. To Muriel, family was everything - a sentiment that shone through every aspect of her life.
Her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, her spirit leaving an unerasable mark in their lives, inspiring them to carry forward the values she held so dear.
Muriel Jeanne Davis will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she graced. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 4, 2026, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at American Legion Osseo (260 4th Ave SE, Osseo, Minnesota 55369)
