Myra Jean Marsh, 65, passed away on September 21, 2024, in El Cajon, California. Born on December 11, 1958, in Missouri, Myra lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and the many lives—human and animal—she touched along the way.

A true "Jill of all trades," Myra embraced every challenge with courage and determination. Over the years, she worked as a corrections officer, medical assistant, bartender, caregiver, and truck driver. No task was too daunting for her; if she set her mind to it, she made it happen. Her versatility was matched only by her vibrant spirit and boundless heart.

Myra's greatest role—and the one she cherished most—was being a mother. She was lovingly described as the best mother in the entire world. Her children, both human and furry, could always count on her for unconditional love, support, and her radiant smile. Her daughter, Lisa Ann Barillas (also known as Lisa Ann Lierman and Lisa Ann Shepherd), survives her and carries forward her legacy of strength and love. Myra was predeceased by her beloved son, Bradley William Liermann. One of her proudest moments was helping him find the beautiful home he lived in until his passing—a place that brought him comfort and dignity during his most difficult days.

Myra had a deep love for real estate and often dreamed of becoming a real estate mogul. Though life presented many hardships, she never let them dim her light or deter her dreams. She had a natural talent for making any house feel like home—rearranging furniture with flair and creating cozy spaces filled with warmth.

Her love extended far beyond her immediate family. Myra had an extraordinary compassion for animals and people alike. She regularly fed outdoor animals and took in countless homeless ones throughout her life. Whether it was a stray dog or someone down on their luck, Myra was always there with open arms and an open heart.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures: garage sales, old cowboy shows (especially "Wagon Train"), cooking delicious Chinese and Mexican meals, decorating homes with loving detail, and sharing laughter with those around her. She was fearless when it came to protecting those she loved—brave in the face of adversity and always ready to stand up for what mattered most.

A devout Christian, Myra loved Jesus deeply. She read her Bible faithfully and shared her spiritual devotion with her children from their earliest days. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life—a source of strength that she passed on to those around her.

To know Myra was to know kindness in its purest form. She didn't care about wealth or material things; she valued humanity above all else. She was a best friend to anyone who needed one—a beautiful soul who gave endlessly of herself without expecting anything in return.

The world lost more than just a woman on that September day—it lost an angel in human form. Her name, Myra Jean Marsh, means "Miraculous Gift from God," and those who knew her can attest that no name could have been more fitting.

May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her and may we honor her legacy by living with the same courage, compassion, and joy that she so effortlessly embodied.
