Nancy was born in Lakeland to Lester Roberts and Mary Ruth Roberts. Both of her parents were orginally from Georgia and had moved to Lakeland to find work. This was at the height of the Depression and times were very hard. Lakeland was very different then and Nancy told us many stories about what people had to do in order to get by. Her parents split up when Nancy was only twelve and Mary Ruth married O.B. Noble. Nancy lived with them in Lakeland until her life circumstances changed. Nancy married very young and that union produced her three children. This marriage did not last and in 1980 she found her second husband, G.W. Curry. Nancy also went to work as a switchboard operator for the New Wales chemical plant where she was employed for over twenty years of service. Nancy and G.W. built a new life together, one that involved going to the beaches for mini vacations, taking numerous cruise ship trips together and enjoyed going to the casinos. This was all done when both of them were still working and when they retired, the gambling excursions were expanded. Nancy and G.W. both enjoyed traveling and they went to Biloxi, Mississippi, Las Vegas, Nevada and even Atlantic City, New Jersey. They were frequent fliers for over twenty years and had great fun with their adventures. After thirty nine years together, G.W. passed away in 2019 and Nancy was left alone living in the house where she had been living for over thirty years. Nancy's family was always important to her and over the last few years, she developed very strong bonds with her grand-children and great grand-children. Nancy had a life full of adventures and was at peace when she passed. Nancy is survived by the following family members: Her sister, Joyce McNeal (Jack). Her Children, Daryl Sheffield (Carol), Katrina Roberts (Richard), Rebecca Lane (Carl). Grandchildren: Brittany Graham (Keith) Elizabeth Clark (Joshua), Daryl Sheffield II and Steven Sheffield. Great-Grandchildren: Amelia, Charlotte, Caroline, Christine and Robbie. Nancy is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces and good friends. She was one of a kind from a different time that can't be replaced and our entire family will miss her greatly. Rest in peace Mom, you will always be in our hearts
