Nancy DiZazzo

Nancy DiZazzo, age 77, of Shelton, CT died at home on March 9, 2026.

She was born in Bridgeport, CT in 1949 to the late Robert and Pearl (Phelps) Fesko. She attended Bassick High School, graduating in 1966, and later pursued an Associates Degree at Housatonic Community College. She worked for Remington Arms in Bridgeport for many years and later ran an in-home daycare for over 10 years. She also worked for Accurate Graphics in Norwalk and Tutor Time in Monroe before retiring in 2007.

In her youth, she had a passion for roller skating and spent many hours at the local rink. She was a Girl Scout, Scout leader, and was an active Sunday School teacher at First English Lutheran Church in Bridgeport and later at Grace Lutheran Church in Stratford. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with friends at the Shelton Senior Center. She enjoyed music, dancing, and was known for her love of smiley faces. The joy of her life was all of the children she cared for and mentored. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her fiancée, Donald Fagan, and is survived by her four cherished children, Timothy and his wife Danielle of Beacon Falls; Marie and her husband William of Hamden; John of Pennsylvania; and Anthony of Oregon; and nine adored grandchildren, Grant, Jaime, Sydney, Jennifer, Abbie, Ashton (Julia), Leela, Lucas, and Max; along with her great grandson, Theo. She was also predeceased by her brothers Robert and Thomas, and survived by her brother Glen, and sisters Judy, Sandy, Bonnie and Robin along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church,150 Chapel Street, Stratford.
