In Loving Memory of Nancy Eppolito

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my mother, Nancy Ann Eppolito, on February 7, 2026. She has been laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.

She was the daughter of Carmen R. Aramburu Eppolito and “Pops” Joe Eppolito. She grew up in Cambria Heights and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School.

She worked for many years as an administrative assistant at James River Corporation in Norwalk.

Anyone who knew Nancy knew her vibrant personality. She loved to laugh, sought out fun in every moment, and was always the life of the party. She was a natural connector who took great joy in bringing people together, a gift that fostered lasting bonds and helped build the foundation of her family. She had an unwavering love for those in her life and cared deeply for the people around her. To be in her inner circle was to have a lifelong confidant, defined by a genuine, lasting presence.

Later in life, her smile and spirit never faded. She faced the challenges of Parkinson’s disease with remarkable grace and quiet, steady strength. She was a dedicated supporter of The Michael J. Fox Foundation and, in her final days, asked that, in lieu of flowers or gifts, she be honored through a charitable donation in her memory. I ask that you consider a donation to this organization or to a charity that holds meaning to you.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Kevin M. Mardorf, Daniel J. Mardorf, and Brian T. Mardorf; her brother, Vincent Eppolito; her grandchildren, Daniel Mardorf and Malissa Mardorf; and a community of sisters and friends whom she considered family.

May those who knew Nancy remember and celebrate who she was at her core: strong, loving, and full of life.

Rest in peace, Mom.
Thank you for being a friend.
