Nancy Sharp Lundberg passed away on December 12, 2025 at the age of 90 in Sacramento, California. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she had a twin brother William Sharp and two older brothers Charles and Rudolph Sharp. She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph Christian Sharp and Nancy Ware Sharp, and her three brothers.
She was a devoted, loving and caring mother to her three children, George David, Charles William and Carol Jean Lundberg. She is survived not only by her children, but also by her 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Nancy attended the University of Alabama. She loved her Alabama roots and enjoyed cooking, especially southern delicacies and sweets. She also loved traveling in general including an extended stay in Sweden and London. Her favorite travel destination was Hawaii, with her favorite island being Kauai.
Nancy lived in a variety of locations following marriage including Hawaii, Texas and California. While living in Pasadena, California with her family, she spent endless hours attending school functions as well as driving her kids to their different schools. She was also very active in her church activities at St. Edmunds Episcopal Church in San Marino, California when the family lived in Pasadena. Later the family moved to Sacramento, California.
Nancy is missed by her many friends and neighbors in Sacramento where she lived since the late 1970s. While in Sacramento, Nancy loved attending musicals with her grandchildren and socializing with her group of friends. She also generously donated to a variety of charities.
She is also missed by her many caregivers at Gramercy Assisted Living Center in Sacramento, California.
A service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, Alabama on March 10 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to Cathedral Church of the Advent, 2017 Sixth Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama 35203. A Graveside Service will be held on March 10, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery 1120 19th St N, Birmingham, Alabama, 35203.
