Nancy McCaffery

Nancy McCaffery, 76, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Lakeland, FL following a brief illness. Born on May 31, 1949, Nancy was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and a lifelong source of warmth and connection to those around her.

Nancy was the vibrant, social heart of her family. Known for her outgoing personality and natural gift for conversation, she had the rare ability to make a stranger feel like an old friend within minutes. Her life was rich with meaning through her unwavering love for her family and deep loyalty to her friends.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. McCaffery, and her son, Robert A. McCaffery. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Patrick Riccardino (Kristine) and Christopher Riccardino, and by her cherished granddaughters, Kate Riccardino and Allyson Riccardino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, CT. Interment will be private.
