Nancy Gail (Peterson) Reichert, 73, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at home with her husband in The Villages, Florida.
Nancy, daughter of the late Florence and Donald Peterson, passed away peacefully after a long illness. Born in Weymouth and raised in North Quincy, Massachusetts. She met Paul Matthew Reichert of East Bridgewater Ma., when she was 15 and were married two years later on December 6, 1969. Nancy was a stay at home mom, raising her three sons, Paul Jr., Gerald and Dennis Reichert, until they were all in school, after which, she had a twenty three year career at State Street Bank.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Paul Reichert Jr, brother Robert Peterson, and sisters Janet Towne and Beverly Crozier.
She is survived by her husband Paul , as they marked their 56th wedding anniversary on the day she passed. Her brother Donald Peterson and wife Rebecca of North Weymouth, Massachusetts, Sons Gerald Reichert and wife Sarah, Dennis Reichert and wife Julie, all of Whitman, Ma., and five granddaughters, Nicole, Zoe, Brooke, Paige and Tess.
Nancy was the matriarch of the family. She knew how to live life to its fullest, always grateful, giving, happy and positive. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she placed her family at the center of her life and carried high hopes for each of her grandchildren.
Nancy was a gifted seamstress. She spent many an evening hosting “A Stitch and B*tch” gathering with friends and teaching others to sew. She would not hesitate to take apart a wedding gown and turn it into christening gowns. She loved to entertain, especially her annual Christmas parties. She loved to travel, having traveled across the country 49/50 states with the exception of Alaska. She traveled to Europe and the Caribbean. One her favorite spots was Sam Lords Castle in Barbados. On occasion you could find her under the hood of a car helping her husband, snowmobiling, jet skiing or tearing up the road on one of her Harley Davidsons, venturing as far as Wyoming.
Nancy had a zest for life and touched many people.
