Nancy Phillips (nee Devaul), 73, a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Titusville, PA. Born on March 23, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nancy's life was a testament to love, friendship, and dedication.
Nancy had an assortment of interests and passions. She loved gardening, cooking and baking, sewing, singing and playing several musical instruments, and spending her time with her husband and dogs. Moreover, she lived her life in service of the Lord Jesus Christ, devoting her time to reading the Bible and related religious books.
She was preceded by her parents, William and Catherine Devaul. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; sister, Barbara Slancauskas; son, Jeremy Backstrom; grandchildren, EJ and Elle Backstrom; niece, Rose Slancauskas; and nephews, Darren Blasko, Charles Slancauskas, and Joey Slancauskas. Nancy's memory will live on through her family, whose lives have been enriched by her perpetual love, support, and dedication.
To honor her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to be made to the
