Nancy "Perky" Robbins,88, passed away Sunday, January 11,2026, in Yucaipa, California, where she had resided since 2003.
Nancy was born in West Bend, Iowa, to Bernice and Eldon Perkins and grew up on a farm in Rodman.
After graduating from Drake University, she moved to Fontana, California to pursue a career in education and counseling.
She taught physical education for two years, worked as the school counselor at Birch High School for eighteen years and finished her career at Fontana High School as a Crisis Counselor and founder of the Healthy Start Program.
In her retirement, Nancy spent every minute possible with her children, grandchildren and friends. Nothing brought her more pleasure. In second place was a strong passion for fashionable clothes and shopping. She also loved flowers, and she went out every morning to admire their beauty.
Nancy was an energetic, independent, upbeat person who devoted her life to helping others. Her smile will be missed by many, and she will be missed fiercely.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Dave and Wende Robbins of Pedro, Ohio, Donna and Vance Cody of Cherry Valley, Ca, and Darren and Cheryl Robbins of Hesperia, Ca. She also leaves six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held at a later time.
