Nancy Bost Walters

Nancy Bost Walters of Raleigh, NC died peacefully on January 19, 2026. She was 93. Nancy was born in Statesville, NC and graduated from Statesville High School. She spent most of her career as an office manager, retiring from the insurance industry. She enjoyed square dancing, singing, and relaxing at the beach. She was an avid bridge player and fierce Scrabble competitor. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with friends and family. Nancy and Leroy’s blended family was more than a mix of two histories—it was a new family, built so their love would have enough room for all. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband and soulmate Leroy Walters, her daughter Lee Ann Beck Price, and granddaughter Maggan Walters Scott. She is survived by her sister Margaret Hudson, her daughters Melissa Beck Morris (Ron) and Veronica Britt, her sons Gerald Beck (Carolyn), Charles Beck (Susan), and Leroy Walters Jr. (Carolyn), as well as 3 generations of beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service for her and her daughter Lee Ann will be held at Greystone Baptist Church,7509 Lead Mine Rd, Raleigh on March 16, 2026 at 1pm. The family will receive friends at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Greystone Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
