Naomi Ruth Shatley

Naomi Ruth Shatley, 83, of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Born in Morehouse, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Edward and Mary Chambers Brack.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Troy T. Shatley, Sr.; her infant granddaughter, Rachel Nicole Shatley; her daughter-in-law, Kathe Shatley; and her sisters, Christine Hardy and Mary Etta Brack.

Ruth loved the Lord above all else and served Him faithfully throughout her life. She attended Full Gospel Apostolic Church in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Ruth enjoyed spending time reading and studying God's word.

She was a devoted mother to her children: Troy Shatley, Jr. (Leah) of Canton, PA; Chris Shatley and Richard Shatley of New Providence, PA; Deborah Shatley of Rising Sun, MD; and Mary Graver (William) of Havre de Grace, MD.

She cherished her grandchildren—Brittany Presberry-Spires (Tyler), Brock Graver-Millet (Patrick), and Jeremy Shatley—and one of her greatest joys, her great-granddaughter Liona Presberry.

Ruth treasured every moment spent with her family. She is survived by her brother Ed Brack (Darlene), her sister Carolyn Elwood, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Lois Shatley, one of her dearest friends.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public service.
