On October 20, 2025, Natalie was peacefully returned to the gentle arms of creation and to eternal rest.
Natalie was a beloved sister, aunt, and loyal friend, whose life was defined by strength, determination, and an extraordinary spirit. A world-class ultramarathoner, Natalie did not simply compete—she broke records, including world records, running with remarkable purpose and resilience. She chased horizons, endured hardship, and found strength in every mile.
That same endurance guided Natalie through life. She faced challenges with resolve and grace, showing those around her that true perseverance is measured not only in distance, but in heart. Her passion, discipline, and courage left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Natalie was predeceased by her late husband, David Ross, her parents Michael and Maria Bawolak, siblings Margaret, Theresa, Edward and Mary. She is survived by her two sisters, Irene and Olga, many nieces and nephews as well as her dear friend, George. All will cherish her memory.
Natalie's ashes were scattered upon the ocean, releasing her with love. The sea—endless, powerful, and full of mystery—reflects the depth and strength of the spirit she carried within her.
Though our hearts grieve, we find solace in knowing she has crossed the finish line into rest, where there is no more pain.
A private celebration of Natalie's life will be held at a later date.
So go gently, dear Natalie.
You are loved, you are remembered, and you are home.
The sea will hold your ashes, and our hearts will hold your memory forever.
