Send Flowers Plant A Tree
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nayasia A. Gonzalez, a vibrant soul taken too soon on November 29, 2025.
Nayasia, a young woman of exceptional spirit and loving heart, was born in Providence, RI, she was the cherished daughter of Raisa Gonzalez and Iryan J. "Jerome" Aubert.
A proud graduate of Shea High School and the Rhode Island Alternative Academy in June 2024, she then went on to the Community College of Rhode Island, where she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. Nayasia's ambition to become a nurse stemmed from her unwavering desire to help others, a testament to her deeply caring nature.
Nayasia's life was a whirlwind of motion and music. She was a competitive dancer with Dancin Spirit Performing Arts, gracing the stage with her lyrical, contemporary, and tap performances, and her extraordinary talent as a contortionist dazzled audiences. Nayasia's artistic journey led her to become a valued mentor at AS220 Performing Arts Center, where she generously taught dance to children. Her grace and agility also shone through as a cheerleader for the Central Falls Panthers and as a skilled tumbler. Music was another of her passions. Her sense of humor, funny spirit, and hearing her "Hey Girl!" will be forever missed.
A person of faith, Nayasia actively participated in the community of St. Joseph's Church in Pawtucket, where her warm smile and kindheartedness will be sorely missed. Her involvement in sports was not confined to the dance floor or the cheer mat; she was also an avid basketball player for the Ralph J. Holden League. Additionally, she contributed her time and energy to Shoot for Hope, volunteering for community work and spreading positivity wherever she went.
To say that Nayasia was creative, passionate, and loving would only scratch the surface of her multifaceted character. Her light shone brightly in the arts and in her service to the community, illuminating the lives of those she touched with her boundless energy and kind spirit. Although her time with us was brief, the impact of her presence will resonate deeply with her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have been part of her journey. The world has lost a truly special individual.
Nayasia is survived by her parents, Raisa Gonzalez and Iryan J. "Jerome" Aubert, her siblings: Kevin Gonzalez, Kierra Baptista, Jayleanna Sanchez, Jerlaiza Gonzalez, Iryan Aubert II, and Renzell Aubert, her grandmother: Maria Gonzalez, her godmother: Jacqueline Aubert, her godson: Rajah J. Gonzalez, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, and a community of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruddy Acosta, Lenny Page, and Gloria Lopes.
