Nicholas Ronald Hayden

Nicholas "Nick" Ronald Hayden, 40, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed
away peacefully on April 13, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Nick was born on July 15, 1985, in Louisville, where he spent most of
his life. At birth, he was diagnosed with spina bifida, a condition
that presented challenges throughout his life. Despite these
obstacles, Nick went on to accomplish many things that doctors said he
would never be able to do. As a child, he participated in a variety of
sports, including baseball, basketball, and golf. He also enjoyed
memorable experiences such as riding in a helicopter, horseback
riding, swimming and beach trips. Nick pursued his education and
graduated from Eastern High School.

Nick was an enthusiastic sports fan who followed NASCAR races every
weekend and loved cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas
Cowboys. He was also a devoted supporter of the Louisville Cardinals
and especially enjoyed attending games with his dad. Nick took great
pride in his work as an employee of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky.
He had a great sense of humor, an extremely kind heart, and he never
met a stranger.

Nick is survived by his father, Ron Hayden (Lindsay); his sisters,
Leslie, Kasey, and Abby; his nephews, Matthew, Peyton, Eian, and Brayden, and his aunt Kelly, who played a significant
role in his life, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Toni Carrillo.

Although Nick's body faced limitations on this earth, his spirit never
did. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now free from those
limitations. This is not the end of Nick's story, but the beginning of
a greater and more beautiful chapter.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Nick's honor on Friday, May 15,
from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Lake Forest Lodge, 511 Woodlake Drive,
Louisville, KY 40245.
