Nicholaus William Blasy, 76, of Chalfont Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 9th, 2026.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leontine (Baksalary), whom he married on April 26th, 1975. He is also survived by his three sons, Nickolas, Andrew, and Matthew (Jen), and granddaughter, Aleksandra. He is also survived by his brother, Walter, and his brother’s family.
He was born May 8th, 1949, in Stuttgart, Germany, to Nicholaus and Friederike Blasy (Hann), who preceded him in death. He came to the United States as an infant. From a young age, as a boy scout, he developed a love for travel, the mountains and outdoors in general. Following his graduation from Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, he went on to earn a Baccalaureate Degree in Liberal Arts from Pennsylvania State University. He dedicated 23 years to Nabisco as a sales territory manager. He also pursued several entrepreneurial business ventures, including owning and operating the Lederach Tea Room, a restaurant and catering business.
He enjoyed chess, tennis, shooting, the Wild West, history, Philly area sports teams, playing cards, and watching his westerns. He also loved his family, people, and loved either telling or hearing a good story. He was a dynamic conversationalist with a mind for problem solving and was always willing to help others. He also had a lifelong passion for baking and real estate.
Family and friends are invited to attend a life celebration and religious service at Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1000 Main St. in Lansdale, PA, on Wednesday January 28th, with visitation starting at 10am, funeral service at 11 am, followed by a reception.
