Juanita Charlene (Nita) Nobles Adcock, 80, was born on September 4, 1945, in Kenedy, Texas. She grew up and spent most of her life in Alice, Texas, where she graduated from Alice High School and attended Texas A and I University. She enjoyed the last years of her life making her home in Granbury, Tx.

In 1964, Nita married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Adcock, and together they raised two sons, David and Kevin. In Alice, Nita built her life around her boys—their activities, their friends, and their futures—while working full time and also being deeply involved in social and charitable organizations in the community.

Nita had a fun sense of adventure and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, snow skiing, traveling, working in her yard, and endless weekends at the lake, where she was happiest surrounded by family and friends. She was one third of the Killer Aunts, as she and her two sisters were the anchors of their large family.

Nita's faith was strong. She surrounded herself with a church family from the time she was a young mother at the First Baptist Church in Alice until recent years, helping grow a new church family in Granbury at Anchor Fellowship.

Her family was Nita's greatest pride and joy. She was a steady presence in the lives of those she cared for. She adored being a grandmother to her five grandchildren and in recent years had embraced the role of great grandmother.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Anna Loretta Nobles and the father of her children, Jimmy Adcock.

She is survived by her beloved sons, David (Dawn) Adcock and Kevin Adcock; her grandchildren Colby (Alyson) Adcock, Jarod (Isabelle) Adcock, Kelsey Crawford, Kendall (Matt) Viera, and Kailey (Derek) Chitwood; and her great grandchildren, Lynleigh and Carson Adcock, Sienna Adcock, Emory and Cole Crawford, Noah Viera and Colton, Hazel and Jax Chitwood. Also surviving Nita are her two sisters; Barbara Herrington and Joyce Bishop, step-sister Suzan (Eddie) McDonald, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she shared so freely.

A celebration of Nita's life will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the Acton Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Anchor Fellowship Church.
