Noel F. Nauber, 81, passed on to his final rest on October 27, 2025 after a long battle with respiratory problems and cancer. His beloved wife, Linda, was by his side.
Noel was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Anita Nauber and was raised there and Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Butler University.
He had a highly successful career in the creative side of advertising, working in St. Louis and later on in Detroit for D'Arcy McManus Benton & Bowles on some of America's biggest and most celebrated brand names, including Budweiser Beer and Pontiac automobiles.
During the course of these years, Noel earned a reputation for unmatched individual creativity, but also as a creative group leader. He was respected and loved by all who worked with and for him.
After retiring and moving to the Los Angeles area, Noel enjoyed playing golf, cycling, and pursuing his many interests and hobbies, including model trains, cars, classical music and high-fidelity audio. While living in California, he served as a behind-the-scenes marketing master and product care for the business of his daughter, Valencia Sport Saddlery.
Noel is survived by his wife Linda, his son Galidan, his daughter Ecole, and by his cherished grandchildren, Willow, Scout, and Rocket Nauber, as well as his many nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Maria, and former son-in-law Eric.
What also will survive forever is the vivid memory of a brilliant, caring, and gently funny man his family and friends are privileged to have known and loved.
