Norma Jean "Dolly" Stredde went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2025.
No formal services were held, as it was too difficult for her soulmate and husband of 65 years, George. He is deeply comforted by the love they shared. Dolly was truly a gift from God, an answer to prayer after George had prayed for three years for a loving Christian woman to marry and raise a family with. What an answered prayer she was.
Dolly was a princess of the Hausler family, loved and admired by all who knew her. She took great pride in teaching children at Aurora Christian School, where her faith, joy, and kindness touched many young lives. She loved laughter, all things sweet, and beautiful things, from shimmering Christmas trees to sparkling diamonds, and above all she loved the Lord.
Most of all, Dolly treasured her family. She was a devoted mother to David, Daniel, and Andrew, and a beloved grandmother to Shane.
The Bible reminds us to be joyful in all things, for this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus. In the words of the old gospel song "I'll Meet You in the Morning," we find comfort and hope. We love and miss you dearly, but we look forward to the day we will be together again forever.
