Oren Lee Dick, 86, passed away at home after a long bought of health issues on December 23, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Born on August 11, 1939, in Topeka, Kansas, Oren lived a full and industrious life marked by his dedication to family, work, and his passions.

Oren graduated from Highland Park High School and went on to build a career centered around his love for painting cars. He spent much of his life perfecting his craft, eventually moving to California where he established his own business specializing in automotive painting. His talent and entrepreneurial spirit were evident in the success of his business during those years. Later in life, Oren relocated to Wisconsin to take over a river resort that he inherited from his aunt and uncle—a venture that reflected his adaptability and commitment to family legacy.

Oren's hobbies were a testament to his creativity and generosity. He had a deep passion for restoring cars and took great pride in showing them at cruise nights and car shows where he won numerous awards. His meticulous attention to detail was evident not only in his professional work but also in the vehicles he lovingly restored. Beyond cars, Oren found joy in helping others by mowing neighbors' yards and caring for his beloved pets.

He is survived by his children: Jerry Dick (Kris) of Topeka; Teri Troth of Topeka; Oren Dick Jr. (Erin) of California; Ken Copeland (Lucy) of California; and Dale Copeland of Arizona. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish their memories of him.

Oren was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Ruth Dick; his wife Dolly Dick; sisters Darlene Dean and Margie Hawthorne; and brother Harold Dick.

Oren's legacy is one of hard work, kindness, and an enduring love for family and community. May the memory of his life bring comfort to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 2, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at South Village Club House 4637 SE South Village Pwy Topeka,Ks
