Palma Ann Murray, 64, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1960, in Gastonia, North Carolina, and from the very beginning brought warmth, kindness, and love into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Palma was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Loudermilk and JoAnn Lester, and her brother, Bill Loudermilk. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Murray; her brother Todd Loudermilk; her sister-in-law Sharon Arbour; and her children Tiffany Dryk-Newell, Tonya Castillo (Hector), Todd Jackson Jr. (Jennifer Vann), Travis Jackson, and Taylor Capelle (Brandon).
Palma was also blessed with many grandchildren—Desiree Newell, Kyndal Dryk, Darrian Newell (Juliana), Hector Castillo, Destiny Newell, Ashley Sansing, Cristiano Castillo—and two cherished great-granddaughters, Sophia and Aaliyah.
To know Palma was to love her. She never met a stranger and lived her life with an open heart and a helping hand, always willing to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Family was the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment she spent with them.
While her absence leaves an undeniable void, her radiant spirit and warm memory continue to inspire all who knew her. Palma was a beacon of light—known for her incredibly generous heart, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She filled every room with warmth and approached life with a sense of adventure that made every moment shine. She will be deeply missed by her vast community of friends and family, all of whom were touched by her kindness and love.
She found joy in simple pleasures—casting a line while fishing, feeling the ocean breeze at the beach, and sharing laughter and stories with the people she treasured most. Her generosity, her bright spirit, and her enduring love for her family will be remembered always.
Palma's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will forever be cherished.
