Pamela Jean (Quinn) (Hanscome) Moore, 69, passed away on January 22, 2026 at Charleton Memorial Hospital in Fall River surrounded by family and loved ones after a long illness related to COPD and emphysema. She fought a valiant battle, and met the Lord with grace, dignity and a strong faith. Pam was born on September 24, 1956 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston to Paul C. Quinn and Helen (Stearns)(Quinn) Chambers, and was educated in the Abington Public School system. After leaving Abington High School, Pam married Steve Hanscome, and gave birth to her son, Roger (1973). They later divorced, and Pam married Frank "Tiger" Moore, a well-known boxer from Brockton. Together, they had two daughters, Christine (1981) and Alicia (1986). Pam and Tiger eventually parted ways, and remained separated until Pam's passing. They maintained an enduring friendship and co-parented until their daughters reached adulthood. Pam spent her younger adult years as a full-time mother, although she did go to school for Cosmetology. After her children were in school, she worked for several years as a Customer Service representative for AT&T.
Pam eventually settled in Wareham, where she met her partner of 35 years, Roy Nixon. They shared many adventures throughout the years, but they most enjoyed the peace and harmony of fishing together at Besse Park & Pier in Wareham. Through Roy, Pam was very proud to be an adopted member of the Herring Pond Wampanog Native American tribe. Pam enjoyed life, and loved to have a good time with both friends and family. She and her mother could often be spotted in Wareham at many eating establishments or playing bingo, with Pam always wearing her signature baseball cap. She also loved to travel, and made several trips to see her sister in Hawaii, San Diego, Monterey, Charleston and Washington, DC. She also visited the Moore family in the Bahamas. A highlight trip for Pam and her best friend Denise Murphy was celebrating their 50th birthdays together in Las Vegas. Pam's greatest joys, however, were her children, and especially her grandchildren, Ryan, Isabella and Franklin. She lived for the moments they all shared.
Although not formally trained, Pam was an excellent artist, a talent she inherited from her father, and similar to many of her McCarroll cousins on her father's side of the family. She also loved animals from the time she was a little girl, and had many dogs and cats throughout her life.
Pam is survived by her life partner Roy Nixon of Wareham; Frank "Tiger" Moore of Brockton; daughters Christine Pagan of Lakeville and Alicia Moore and her partner Samantha Reynolds of Wareham; and sister Leslie Quinn of Amelia Island, FL. Also surviving her are her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Hanscome of Wareham; Isabella (Bella) Pagan and Franklin (Frankie) Pagan of Lakeville; son-in-law Luis Pagan of Brockton; and many family members in MA, ME, PA, NJ and WA, to include all the Stearns and McCarroll cousins. Additionally, she had too many "friends who are family" to count, including Carrie Hill and her family and the Rideout family, especially her childhood best friend Denise Murphy of Taunton. She was predeceased by her son Roger Hanscome (2018); her parents Paul Quinn (2015) and Helen Chambers (2008); her stepfather Julius Chambers (2001) and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
In keeping with her final wishes, Pam was cremated and a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
