Patrick "Patric" Garnette Zerr, 41, of Portland, Oregon, died unexpectedly on December 22, 2025, in Portland.

Patric was born on November 1, 1984, in Denver, Colorado, to Ralph and Kathleen Zerr. He spent his childhood in Denver and Kent, Washington. He attended O’Dea High School in Seattle and graduated from the University of Portland with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

Patric was a deeply creative individual. He saw the world differently, finding beauty in fleeting moments, quiet details, and human connection. Over the years, he expressed himself through a variety of artistic media. Creating was not just something he did; it was how he processed the world and found peace with it.

Patric was a devoted friend who fiercely cared for his friends and family. He was at his strongest when surrounded by the community he built and held close. He was driven by connection, loyalty, and a desire to show up fully for the people he loved. His care for others was steady, most evident in his presence and in the way he made space for others to be themselves.

He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Kathleen Zerr; his sibling, D Zerr; his sister-in-law, Erin Kross; his niece, Lillian Zerr; and his loyal and beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Toblerone.

He is remembered by his family as a beloved son, brother, and uncle, creative, strong, and deeply loved. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, only honored. Patric’s art, his friendships, and the care he gave to others remain with those he loved and continue to be woven into the lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be announced at a future date in Portland. To honor Patric’s support of the LGBTQIA community, the family invites donations in his memory to The Trevor Project, the Human Rights Campaign, or other organizations supporting causes important to him.
