Patricia Cargill Boldizar, 98, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025.

Born in Van Etten, New York, to Ona Cargill (Extale) and Dr. James R. Cargill in 1927, Patricia (Pat) was raised in New York State and moved to Florida in 1950. Her mother worked as a nurse for her father, the town doctor in Van Etten, who made house calls. Their dedication to caring for others had a lasting impact on Patricia.

Pat earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University in 1948 and after raising four children she went back to college and graduated with a Master of Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1971. Creativity was a constant part of her life. Pat enjoyed teaching Art and English for grades kindergarten through Junior High for fifteen years and she was an accomplished watercolor artist. Her paintings focused on capturing Florida’s coastal beauty and scenes of everyday life and earned her several awards. She was an active member of the Palm Beach Watercolor Society, the Florida Watercolor Society, and the Women for the Visual Arts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Robert Boldizar, her brother, James Cargill, and her daughter, Janet Boldizar. She is survived by her children Barbara Boldizar, Thomas Boldizar (Lina), and Kathryn Worth (Ron). Pat was blessed with four grandchildren, Tessa, Alyssa, Marina and Merrick, and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gage and Waylon.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family to honor her memory. Patricia will be remembered for her creativity, her warmth, and the love she shared with family and friends throughout her long and full life.
