Patricia Noonan Bourgeois (Chandler), 86, of Baton Rouge, passed away on January 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by wisdom, kindness, and a deep compassion that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. A devoted mother, mother in law, and grandmother, she welcomed every person she met with genuine warmth. Her life's purpose was simple yet profound: to make others feel loved.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Pat dedicated more than thirty years to shaping young minds, most notably at Andrew Jackson High School. Her students remember her not only for her bright smile and quick wit, but for the way she consistently went above and beyond to ensure they felt supported, encouraged, and capable of achieving their fullest potential. She was a teacher, yes, but even more so, a mentor and a steady source of inspiration.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father, William Noonan; her mother, Yvonne Benefield Noonan; and her husband, Wayne Bourgeois. She is survived by her son, Robert Chandler (Deenie), and her daughter, Yvonne Roca. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Alex Dorsey, Billy Chandler (Baylee), Emily Dorsey, Katie Chandler, and Robby Chandler (Cecilia); and five great grandchildren: Audrey and Michael Laughlin, Ella and Wyatt Chandler, and RT Chandler. She is also lovingly remembered by her dearest friend, MaryAnn Francingues.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
