Patricia Butler

Ms. Patricia A. Butler, affectionately known as "Patsy," "Lady Patricia," and "LadyPat," passed away on March 9, 2026, in Washington, District of Columbia. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Patricia’s life was deeply rooted in the community she called home.

A proud graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and the University of the District of Columbia, Patricia valued education as a cornerstone of personal growth and empowerment. Her commitment to higher learning was matched by her passion for civic engagement and advocacy, which she championed throughout her life.

Patricia found joy in singing and dancing, pursuits that brought light to those around her. Her vibrant spirit resonated with all who had the privilege of knowing her. A steadfast proponent of faith, she carried her beliefs into every aspect of her life, inspiring others through her dedication to service and community betterment.

She is survived by her siblings Martha Ann Edmonds, Angela Scott, Bernadette Hudson, and Michael Butler. Their shared memories will forever honor Patricia’s legacy.
